Truth – the misunderstood monster

If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end; if you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth only soft soap and wishful thinking to begin,
and in the end, despair.

C.S. Lewis

washed away
Truth makes a certain sound, not in your ears, in your heart.

It’s like a bell, a resonance, a clarity.

Truth ripples out like sonar, lighting up the circumstances that caused you doubt and confusion. Things make sense in its wake.

The truth can sometimes be a comfortless thing. We hide from it because we’re afraid of what it looks like.

Doubt casts all kinds scary shapes and shadows on the wall but truth is the misunderstood monster.

It’s not always what you want. It may not be pretty but it IS your friend. When you see things as they are, they no longer hold power over you.

Truth breaks the sweat of a sick and restless night.

Truth, real truth, lights up beauty as well as pain and shows you both unashamedly.

Truth helps you move on to what’s next
