Love is the hardest thing to write about today.
When romantic love goes right, kindness, generosity and thoughtful actions spill easily from an overflowing heart.
When romantic love goes wrong, suddenly there’s a choice. It gets tricky.
The end of romance does not turn love off like a faucet. It doesn’t suddenly dry up or turn sour when the words ‘it’s over’ are spoken.
Love does not disappear.
It always flows. Like water, it changes in form over time and in reaction to your circumstances. Love just need to manifest differently.
It isn’t the easy path to take. It’s easier to shut down and put the blinkers on. It’s easier to do what’s in your own best interest.
Except, I think when your heart is already broken, love is the safest path to recovery.
