Muchness

Living each day much muchier

Far better things ahead

You can do what you want
You can make it all true
And you can make it undo
you see.
Ah, it’s easy.
Cat Stevens (Yusef Islam) – ‘If you want to sing out’

You don’t need to wait for the new year to make a change for the better. In some ways, heaping all your desire for perfection on the days and weeks following the strike of midnight is asking for failure.

Still…

The act of imagining a better future is potent and powerful.

It’s an act of self-forgiveness and renewal.

It’s one of the last strongholds of magic in our modern society. We believe against all science and cynicism that the new year gives us a clean slate from which to start a new chapter. We can be better versions of ourselves.

Whatever your resolutions, the most important thing is hope: hope in new adventures, new opportunities and the knowledge that what’s to come is worth looking forward to.

There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind.
