Family – gratitude challenge #15

Ian Craig when he was young

I haven’t seen much of my family in the past two years. There are reasons why but honestly, I moved interstate, not to the moon.

My grandfather passed away last week and I flew up to Queensland to be with family and attend Papa’s funeral.

No matter where I lay my head at night, no matter how much I think I’ve changed, no matter what’s going on in my life, my family are there at the deepest part of me. They are the roots I grow out and upward from.

I am grateful that I could spend some time with them and take part in the goodbye.

RIP Papa.
